Baseball is (5-0) in conference play with extra inning win over HCC, 9-6

TAMPA,Fla.- SCF continued their win streak and defeated Hillsborough Community College 9-6 in 11 innings. After jumping out to a 5-1 lead after two innings, HCC rallied with five runs in the 4th inning to take a 6-5 lead. The score remained 6-5 until the top of the 9th inning when Andrew McNett drove in Tyler Rocklein with a one out single. SCF won it with three runs in the 11th inning as McNett drove in Rocklein again with the winning run and Devin Raftery added a two out, two RBI single. Raftery also threw the final three innings to pick up the win as SCF won its 10th consecutive game. Rocklein and McNett led the offense with three hits and 2 RBI’s each. The Manatees improved to 22-8-1 overall and 5-0 in the Suncoast Conference.
