Turhan Douglas Named Head Beach Volleyball Coach
Turhan Douglas is the new Head Beach Volleyball Coach at State College of Florida.
Douglas boasts an impressive background with over 25 years of coaching experience at numerous levels of competition. At the collegiate level, Douglas was most recently at Santa Monica College where he guided the women's volleyball program to a Western State College Championship in 2018 and was named Western State Conference Coach of the Year.
Prior to his stint at Santa Monica College, Douglas spent time at California Baptist University where he won an NAIA National Championship as an Assistant Coach in 2010. Additionally, Douglas had stops at Antelope Valley College, California Baptist University, Pierce College, and most notably the University of Southern California as their Head Men's Volleyball Coach from 2002-2006.
In addition to his collegiate coaching experience, Douglas spent a significant portion of his career as an owner and director of two club programs -- Revolution Volleyball Club in Lancaster, CA, and and Santa
Monica Beach Club in Santa Monica, CA.

Douglas will begin his tenure at State College of Florida immediately. His first task, hitting the ground running in recruiting to keep the program amongst the best in the Nation.
