She hit safely and drove in at least one run in each game of doubleheaders against Daytona State (March 5), Palm Beach State (March 7) and Illinois Valley (March 9). Burney’s top games came in game one against Daytona State, when she was 3-for-3 with a two RBI, and game two against Palm Beach State, when she was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, a home run and two RBI. Davis gained the most notoriety after leaving the school, starring for the Astros in the late 1980s. His best year was 1986, when he hit 31 home runs and drove in 101 runs, finishing second in the National League MVP balloting.
