Softball sweeps Oakland CC, 8-2 and 4-0

BRADENTON, Fla- SCF Softball improved to (22-6) with two wins at home against Oakland Community College (Michigan). Gianni Artidiello had two doubles and two RBIs for the Manatees. Sophomore catcher Angie Dascoli blasted three hits and added three RBIs to help SCF win 8-2 in game one. Kirstin Toole got the win and Paige Mathews earned the save. In game two, Paige Mathews returned to the mound for another complete game shut out. Mathews fanned 12 batters in seven innings while only giving up two hits and no walks. Run support was provided by Angie Dascoli, Dani Wayt, and Kat Gavern's RBI triple. The Manatees head to Palm Beach State College in Lake Worth, FL on Saturday.
