Paige Mathews named 1st Team NJCAA All-American

BRADENTON,FL- Freshman standout pitcher, Paige Mathews, was named 2012 National Junior College Athletic Association 1st Team All-American. Only 16 players are named to this national team. Mathews finished the season with a record of 29-5, 0.77 ERA, 293 strikeouts, 218.67 innings, and added three saves. In addition to All-American she was also named Suncoast 1st team All-Conference, Suncoast Conference Pitcher of the Year, FCSAA 1st Team All-State, FCSAA Pitcher of the Year, All-Gulf District Tournament Team, FCSAA All-State Tournament Team, FCSAA All-State Tournament MVP, NJCAA All- Tournament Team, and South Region 1st team NFCA All-Region.
