Three SCF Signees Selected during MLB Draft
BRADENTON, Fla. – Three State College of Florida signees had their names called during the Major League Baseball Draft. Two are local area players Correlle Prime (Manatee High School) and Zach Larson (Lakewood Ranch High School). Joining Prime and Larson was Anthony Seise from West Orange High School in Winter Garden, FL. Prime, was selected by the Colorado Rockies in the 12th round. Eight rounds later, the Minnesota Twins made the speedy outfielder Larson the second SCF signee off the draft board. The outfielder is regarded for his instincts on the base paths and in the outfield as well as for his bat. Left-handed pitcher Seise became SCF’s third selection of the draft when the Colorado Rockies picked him in their 20th round. Seise, whose fastball has already been clocked in the low to mid 90”s has a tall frame that projects very well at the professional level.
