Bio
In 2011, Benitez started the season as the starting third baseman who made the transition to pitching out of the bullpen. This year, he will play a big role coming out of the pen. Benitez played for Team Mizuno in Puerto Rico. He was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 31st round of the 2010 MLB Amateur Draft. He attended Ashworth High School graduating with a 3.7 GPA.
