Tennis still undefeated heading in to Day 3 at NJCAA National Tournament, 4th place in points
In day two of the NJCAA national tennis tournament, all six of the singles players for SCF won in straight sets. In # 1 Singles Laurence Porry defeated Amy Evans of Itawamba 6-0, 6-1. She will face the #2 seed of the flight Kerrie Cartwright of Tyler Junior College at 8:30 am Tuesday. In #2 singles Marianna Palacios, the #1 seeded player in flight 2, defeated Sommer Burnett of Itawamba 6-2, 6-0. She will face Ivanna Echezuria of Meridian Community College Tuesday at 8:30 am. In #3 singles Wei Lai, defeated Rylee Smith of USC Lancaster and will take on Yurina Kunishima of St. Pete College tomorrow at 8:30 am. In #4 singles, Anne Sophie Porry defeated Ashley Pedro of Eastern Arizona 6-0, 6-0 and will face Alyssa Hawkins of New Mexico Military Institute tomorrow at 8:30. In # 5 singles, Abby Martinez defeated Katy Adams of Meridian Community College 6-0, 6-1 and will face Paula Garcia of Broward tomorrow at 9:45.
