SCF Softball Helps Raise over $4245 for the American Heart Association
The Manatees finished in second place for fundraising efforts at the Sarasota-Manatee Heartwalk. For the third consecutive year, the SCF Softball team has helped to raise money for the American Heart Association.

The Manatees Finished as No. 2 in the Sarasota-Manatee Heartwalk
SARASOTA,FL, September, 24, 2011- For the third consecutive year, the SCF Softball team has helped to raise money for the American Heart Association. Over $4,245 was donated to the American Heart Association's Sarasota-Manatee Heartwalk. The event was held at Payne Park in Sarasota,FL on Saturday, September 24th. Students, faculty and staff helped make up over 1600 walkers this year. The State College of Florida team, SCF Manatees, was comprised of 68 walkers. The Manatees finished ranked #2 in team donations, and SCF Head Softball Coach, Meredith Headings, was also #2 in individual fundraising for the event with $2,105.
