Softball sweeps at Palm Beach 7-2, 4-2, Dascoli and Burney smash solo home runs
LAKE WORTH, Fla.- SCF Softball took two at Palm Beach State College in non-conference action. The Manatees won 7-2 and 4-2. In game one, Angie Dascoli was a perfect 4-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs. She homered in the third inning of game two coming up just one double short of the cycle for the day. Other hitters were Gianni Artidiello, Dani Wayt, and Ashley Burney each adding two hits. In the sixth, Ashley Burney smashed a scoreboard clearing solo home run which was her first college career blast. Kirstin Toole picked up her fifth win of the year. Game two, the Manatees came out swinging again behind Wayt, Dascoli, and Burney. Chelsea Wildey picked up her 10th RBI this season. Paige Mathews got the win improving to 11-2 for the season. She added another 10 strikeouts to increase her season total to 132. SCF is now 24-6 and play at Lake Sumter on Tuesday.
