SCF beats nationally ranked #5 Tallahasse CC, 3-2

PENSACOLA, Fla.- SCF (46-10) won their second game at the FCSAA/Region 8 State Tournament beating nationally ranked Tallahassee CC, 3-2. Sophomore hurler, Chelsea Oglevie (13-3) threw a strong five inning performance and earned the win only giving up three hits and one earned run.

The game was scoreless in to the fourth inning. Angie Dascoli singled to spark the rally followed by a right field single from Dani Wayt giving the Manatees runners on first and third. First baseman, Ashley Burney then followed with a three-run blast. This was Burney's second home run of the day and fourth RBI.

The Eagles rallied back adding two runs of their own in the fifth to make it 3-2. Paige Mathews took the mound for the Manatees and gave a scoreless two inning, two strike out performance for the save.

SCF plays Saturday at 3pm EST against Gulf Coast State College.
