Softball sweeps Santa Fe, 1-0 and 3-1 improving to (19-5)
GAINESVILLE,FL- SCF Softball beat Santa Fe College twice today in non-conference action, 1-0 and 3-1. These two wins completed a four game sweep for the Manatees over the Saints this season. Chelsea Oglevie held the Saints to no runs in to the fourth inning. Kirstin Toole was in relief and earned the win. The Manatees scored their only run in the fifth. Chelsea Wildey led off with a single and Kayla Bjorge moved Wildey with a sacrifice bunt. Kat Gavern singled to score Wildey. Dani Wayt was 2-for-3. Manatees won 1-0. In the second game, Paige Mathews took the mound. She went all seven innings, gave up three hits, 1 earned run, and struck out 11. The Manatees won 3-1 from a third inning RBI double from Chelsea Wildey and a fourth inning RBI fielder's choice from Gianni Artidiello. Kayla Bjorge was 1-for-2, scored twice, and had two stolen bases. SCF Softball improved to (19-5) for the season.
