SCF Basketball Wins 2 in a Row, SCF 83 - WIU 65

The SCF basketball team won its’ second straight game with an 83-65 victory over Webber International University JV Saturday afternoon.

The Manatees had five players reach double-figures in the victory. Eric Halliwell led the SCF with 19 points while Reggie Baity finished with 16. Odi Onyekachukwu (14), Giannis Stavrianidis (13) and Javaris Jackson (11) also hit double digits for the Manatees.

SCF raced out to an early 12-0 lead at the outset and took a 51-35 lead into halftime. The Warriors never threatened the Manatees advantage over the final 20 minutes.

The Manatees return to Hal Chasey Gymnasium Saturday to face IMG Academies at 4 p.m. Suncoast Conference play begins Wednesday, January 25, when Polk State College visits SCF at 7 p.m.
