Scoreless Outing Earns Little Pitcher of the Week Honors

Bradenton, Fla – The Florida College System Activities Association has named Brendon Little the Pitcher of the Week.  The selection is based on games played April 17-23.

Little was 1-0 with a 0.00 ERA during the voting period.  He tossed six scoreless innings in the Manatees 4-3 victory over nationally ranked Polk State College.  He gave up four hits and walked one. The only run crossing the plate while he was pitching was unearned.  The state leader in strikeouts earned 13 more in his only start of the voting period. 

Brendon is 4-3 on the season and has an impressive 2.39 ERA.  He has struck out 124 batters while only walking 19 batters. 

The Manatees return to the FCSAA State/NJCAA Region 8 tournament behind the stellar pitching of Brendon Little.  SCF opens the tournament on Friday May 5 at 1:00 against the winner of the third place play-in game.  The tournament will be played at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, Florida.
