Josh Allen Named 2012 JUCO First Pitch Classic Defensive Player of the Tournament
Josh Allen of State College of Florida was selected as the Defensive Player of the tournament for the 2012 JUCO First Pitch Tournament hosted by St. Pete College.
1/30/2012- ST.PETERSBURG,FL- The 2012 JUCO First Pitch Classic Tournament was hosted by St. Petersburg College, and sponsored by the St. Petersburg/Clearwater Sports Commission, the St. Petersburg Baseball Commission and the Winning Inning Baseball Academy. The tournament included six FCSAA teams and was held on opening weekend (1/27-1/30). Palm Beach State College, State College of Florida, Broward College, Miami Dade College, Chipola College, and St. Petersburg College competed during the three day event.
Josh Allen of State College of Florida was selected as the Defensive Player of the tournament. Ryan Wheeler of Palm Beach State College and Leonardo Rojas of Miami Dade College were selected as Co-Offensive Players of the tournament. Palm Beach State College left as tournament champions.
The Manatees continue their spring season at Indian River State College, on Thursday, Feb. 2nd at 2pm.
